He was predeceased by : his wife Joyce Mercer; and his sister Joyce. He is survived by : his daughters, Elizabeth, Janice (Tony) and Karen (Rick); his grandchildren, David, Alex, Nicole, Julian and John; his great grandchild Isla; and his nephews, Doug, Dave, Jim and Bob.

As an expression of sympathy, donations to Muscular Dystrophy would be appreciated by the family.
