He was loved and cherished by many people including : his spouse Beverly; his children, Tim of Simcoe and Gord (Kim) of Minden; his grandchildren, MacKenzie, Blake, Madison, Jaydon and Knox; and his pet Boots. He was also cherished by his family and friends.

“It is with great sadness that we heard of Bob's passing. Our deepest condolences and thoughts go out to Bev, Tim, Gord and the rest of the family. I have not seen Bob much in recent years but we always managed to keep in touch occasonally. To me, he was a massive part of my life when I was growing up and he was extremely important to me. My mother, Marie, always loved Bob deeply and described him as a diamond in the rough. He was one of a kind and I will miss him deeply. Steve & Laurie Johnston”
