She was predeceased by: her husband William "Bill" Higgins; her parents, Fredrick and Margaret; and her siblings, Harry, Fredrick, Ronald, Raymond, Audrey, Phyllis and Pearl.

She is survived by: her children, Anthony "Tony" (Lori) and Jennifer; her grandchildren, Gregory and Kayla; and her sisters, Gladys and Doreen.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Canada, in memory of Barbara.
