It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Bryan Frederick Cooke (Mississauga, Ontario), who passed away on May 23, 2026, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his former wife Margaret; and his parents, Arthur Cooke and Ethel Cooke. He is survived by: his wife Carol Steele; his sons, Doug (Stella), Brad (Anne) and Ken (Kelly); his stepdaughters, Linda Steele and Barb Steele; his grandchildren, Brett, Andrew (Lilah), Kristen (Kyle), Greg (Melissa), Emily (Jacob) and Mitchell (Mei Lin); and his great grandchildren, Harper and Adeline.

“Although we didn't get to know Bryan that well, when we did see him he was always a pleasure to talk to. We will always remember a comment he made at the beginning was "that's Bryan with a Y". We now realize how unusual that spelling was. I had a brother and a cousin Brian with an i :) and now when I hear or write the name Bryan, I'll always remember Bryan with a Y. You seemed like such a nice man and we wish we had had more time with you. RIP Bryan (with a Y) Cooke. Love, Donna and Doug x”
