Carmela Russo Obituary

The memory of Carmela Russo (Mississauga, Ontario), who passed away on December 6, 2025 at the age of 79, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Antonio; her sons, Luciano (Catherine), Marcello (Cathy) and Michael (Julie); her grandchildren, Isabella, Jonathan, Maddelyne and Benjamin; her siblings, Michelina (late Alessandro), Guido (Michelina), Anna (late Michele), Vincenzo (late Maria) and Elena (late Raffaele); and her parents, Antonio Scalzi and Valleverdina Scalzi.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Turner & Porter - Peel Chapel (2180 Hurontario St, Mississauga, ON L5A3Y3). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Ambrose Catholic Church (782 Brown's Line, Etobicoke, ON M8W3W2). An entombment was held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Queen of Heaven Cemetery (7300 ON-27, Woodbridge, ON L4L1A5).

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Dorothy Ley Hospice, in appreciation of the palliative care provided to Carmela, or to the Canadian Cancer Society in support of cancer research and patient programs.
