She was predeceased by: her father William Arthur Dymond; and her brother David Dymond. She is survived by: her son Max Deneau; her close friend Ian Osgood; her mother Gladys Dymond; and her siblings, Patrick (MaryAnne), Chris (Cathy), John (Barbara), Peter (Vicki), Mark (Barbara), Anne (Philip), Mamaloko, Joseph and Kgabo. She is also survived by many nephews and nieces; and friends.

“Cindy invited my husband and I to sing with her in numerous places and with all sorts of people—and we did, and enjoyed ourselves immensely. We visited her about a year ago, at her beautiful Grey County schoolhouse. I like to remember her on her porch, the late summer sun making us all golden. She brought us together in song, as she did in so many ways. Cindy will be missed by many.”
