Connie (Constance) Joyce Barkhouse Obituary

1945-2023
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Connie (Constance) Joyce Barkhouse, loving sister, aunt and friend. Connie passed away peacefully on April 29, 2023 at Credit Valley Hospital at the age of 78.

Predeceased by her parents Floyd and Edith Barkhouse and sister Lois Batting. Connie is survived by her brother Roy Barkhouse (Jeannine) of Kitchener, nephew Raymond (Liz) of Kitchener along with their children Hannah & Claire, niece Tracy of Kitchener, brother-in-law Bruce Batting of Sherfield-on-Lodden, England and longtime companion/dog Muggles. Connie also leaves behind her companions/dogs Keepher and Rocky.
Connie was an avid traveller, with England and Newfoundland among some of her favourite destinations. She loved animals, theatre (plays and musicals), classical music, gardening and canning. She found joy in hosting annual Christmas gatherings for her family and friends; cooking, baking and often gifted her handmade oven towels. Connie spent many years as a bookkeeper and volunteered her time as a sponsor for Al Anon.
Connie will be dearly missed by many friends and extended family, for those that knew her loved her dearly. Our gratitude goes out to the staff at the Credit Valley Hospital for their professional and caring support. A special thank you to her close friends that have supported her throughout her journey.

Cremation has taken place with Interment to follow at Cochrane Civic Cemetery (Cochrane, Ontario). A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
