He was predeceased by : his father Edmund Surtees Sr.. He is survived by : his mother Mary; his siblings, Yvonne (Craig), Alan (Connie) and Tracy (Walid); and his children, Jennifer and Dana. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews and cherished friends.

Donations in Edmund's memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH).

“Wow, my mother just called and told news. I remember Ed from high school band together with Bill and Steve. I enjoyed his drumming and those over night "adventures" while staying at Ed's place.
