He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellen Jones and Frederick Brooks; his wife Merdina Brooks; his sons, Linton and Michael; and his grandson Ronald.
He is survived by: his children, Alton, Barbara, Beverly, Janet, Jeffery, Junior, Hopeton and Yvonne; his nieces, Yvonne, Hopeton (Junior), Janet, Beverly and Barbara (Alton); his grandchildren, Alecia, Alyssa, Amanda, Amoya, Ethanie, Fallon, Felecia, Gromyko, Ishorn, Kayla, Kemeshia, Lennox, Monique, Naur, Sabrina, Sharlet, Syddonna, Tajh, Teniya, Trinnette, Tyrese and Vanessa; and his great grandchildren, Aakeylah, Adam, Adreanna, Aiden, Amelia, Anoya, Athalia, Cassia, Ethanie Jr., Esther, Giovanni, Jahzara, Jaylen, Kayson, Keyian, Lennox III, Lori-Jae, Savaunnie, Syjre, Tineke and Toni-Ann. He is also survived by his extended family—including many nieces, nephews, cousins—as well as countless friends and neighbors.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Scott Funeral Home ~ Woodbridge Chapel (7776 Kipling Ave, Woodbridge, ON L4L1Z2). A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Beechwood Cemetery (7241 Jane St, Concord, ON L4K1A7).
