He was predeceased by: his sisters, Eduarda and Guiomara; and his parents, Belmira Couto Pereira and Jose Do Monte Bastos. He is survived by: his spouse Eduarda; his daughters, Elizabeth (Joe) and Debbie (Philip); and his siblings, Armando and Natalie. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Jose's memory to the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, where he spent four months in palliative care and did all his cancer treatments at or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
