He was predeceased by: his parents, Juan Antonio Velez Escudero and Juana Antonia Algaba Sonaira; his sister Juana Velez Algaba; and his brother-in-law Esteban Rivas Cerro. He is survived by: his family Mallorca; his wife Rita; his daughter Titania; his son-in-law Dino Pulsinelli; his son Jose Antonio Velez; his grandchildren, Sofia and Alessia; his brother Jeronimo Velez Algaba; and his sister-in-law Maria Angeles Pla Garcia. He is also survived by his extended family—his brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins—as well as many dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 26th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, May 27th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Scott Funeral Home Mississauga Chapel (420 Dundas St E, Mississauga, ON L5A1X5). A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, May 28th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Sts. Martha and Mary Catholic Church (1870 Burnhamthorpe Rd E, Mississauga, ON L4X2S5). An entombment will be held on Thursday, May 28th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Glen Oaks Memorial Gardens (3164 Ninth Line, Oakville, ON L6H7A8).
