He was predeceased by: his parents, Manuel Antonio and Maria Gomes; and his brother Antonio Gomes (late Idalina). He is survived by: his wife Olinda; and his siblings, Quitéria Gomes (late Guilhermino), Celeste Batista (Jaime) and Armindo Gomes (late Helena).
