In the sacred silence of farewell, Marija is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Marija's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her spouse Miro; her daughters, Marianne McKenzie (John) and Josephine Herceg (Anthony); and her great grandchildren, Noah and Zara.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Turner & Porter - Yorke Chapel (2357 Bloor St W, Toronto, ON M6S1P4). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady Queen of Croatia Church (7 Croatia St, Toronto, ON M6H1K8). A burial will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 11:45 AM to 12:00 PM at the Park Lawn Cemetery (2845 Bloor St W, Etobicoke, ON M8X3A1).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Hrvatski Caritas or Za Crkvu – Graditeljski fond. Cheques can be made payable to Our Lady Queen of Croatia, with the chosen charity indicated in the memo line in Memory of Marija Volaric.
