With sadness, we share the passing of Mary Elizabeth Leeder (Mississauga, Ontario). Mary Elizabeth, born on September 3, 1936, passed away on August 21, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gerald Wilson and Helen Wilson; her grandfather Edward Byrne; her uncle Martin Byrne; her great-aunt Harriet Hobbs; her parents-in-law, Ron and Sib Leeder; her siblings-in-law, Faye Moore, Betty Leeder, Bobbie Leeder and Mickey Leeder; her close friend Bev Vickers; her adoptive mother Sue; and her grandmother Mary.
She is survived by: her brother Mickey; her daughter Mary-Ellen Leeder; her son-in-law Al Glasspoole; her son Greg Leeder; her grandson William Ouellette-Leeder; her siblings-in-law, Joan Corcoran (Leeder), Jack Corcoran and Roger Moore; Fr. Bill Downie. She is also survived by 1 husband, 2 kids, 3 dogs.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Peel Chapel (2180 Hurontario St, Mississauga, ON L5B1M8). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location. This was evidenced by surviving the loss of her best friend who wasn't Dad in 2004, the loss of her driver's licence in 2012, a stroke in 2015, a broken hip and the first Trump administration in 2016, the election of Doug Ford in 2018, shifting to Bell Fibe in 2020 (new channels, new remote a challenge) and COVID in 2022.
