Merry Rose Tunney Obituary

We bid farewell to Merry Rose Tunney in Mississauga, Ontario, born in Levack, Ontario, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 28, 2026 at the age of 82. Merry Rose touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Rose Swiddle and Frank Swiddle; and her husband Edward Tunney. She is survived by: her children, Glen (Leah), Catherine (Richard) and Gregory (Vanessa); her grandchildren, Matthew, Rebecca (Lucas), Ainsley, Mariska, Carys, Kaylee and Jenson; and her siblings, Frances Swiddle and Ronald Swiddle (Elizabeth).

Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 3rd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Turner & Porter Neweduk Chapel (1981 Dundas St W, Mississauga, ON L5K1R2). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 4th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Martin of Tours Church (1290 McBride Ave, Mississauga, ON L5C1M8). A burial was held on Wednesday, February 4th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Assumption Catholic Cemetery (6933 Tomken Rd, Mississauga, ON L5T1N4).
