In loving memory of Ruby Thomas (Mississauga, Ontario), who departed this world on November 20, 2025 at the age of 101. Ruby leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Gomes and Emily Gomes; her siblings, Archie, Franky, Norma, Lorna, John, Victoria, Una, Rupert and Norman (Cedric); and her child Merva.
She is survived by: her children, Donna (Greg), Rhonda, Derek (Denell) and Jill (Eckhard); her grandchildren, Dominique, Brandon (Angelina), Victor and Amiko; and her great grandchildren, Zoë and Alexander. She is also survived by grand-nieces /nephews and great grand-nieces /nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 28th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Meadowvale Community Christian Reformed Church (2630 Inlake Ct, Mississauga, ON L5N2A7). A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 28th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, November 28th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Glen Oaks Cemetery (3164 Ninth Line, Oakville, ON L6H7A8). A reception will be held on Friday, November 28th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Glen Oaks Funeral Home (3164 Ninth Line, Oakville, ON L6H7A8).
