He was predeceased by: his former wife Ada Elizabeth Ryan; his daughter Tasha; and his parents, Velice and Samuel. He is survived by: his wife Velice Greenidge-Ryan of Barbados; and his children, Franklyn, Melissa, Ashley, Granville, Nisha, Carmin (Wale), Michelle, David, Sharon (David), Leroy (Janice), Jahvanna, Lorna (David), Shaun, Shanika, Matthew, Natasha, Alvin Jr., Neal, Jordan, Cam, Michael (Debbie), Christian, Andre and Chantelle. He is also survived by his 8 children; his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one surviving sister; and a large extended family.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Samuel's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
