She was predeceased by : her parents, John McKechnie and Williamina McKechnie (Veitch); her close friend James "Jimmy" Richards; her brother John McKechnie; and her brother-in-law Jim Buchanan.

She is survived by : her children, Linda Lewis (Gregory), Annie Pottle, Jimmy Richards (Fiona) and Heather Hislop (Tom); her grandchildren, Tracey Snitch (John), Jeffery Hunt (Cheryl), Laurel Hunt, Jillian Hunt, Ashley Vanden Hoven (Paul), Justin Taylor (Rachel), Abby Pottle (Patrick), Joanne Chesterfield (James), Sarah Nahrgang (Josh) and Alex Hislop (Jillian); her close friends, Val Siemon, Kayla and Aaron Feltz; her sister Margaret Buchanan; her sister-in-law Margaret McKechnie of Scotland; and her husband Jimmy. She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews.
