He was predeceased by: his wife Wanda Higenell; his parents, Carl Higenell and Lora Higenell; his brother Edwin Higenell (Joan); and his sister-in-law Helen Lease (Andy).
He is survived by: his children, Karen Kirkey (Mark), Larry Higenell (Catherine), Mark Higenell (Ellen) and Cheryl Bennewies (John); his grandchildren, Anna (Peter), Joseph, Emily, Jason, Brianne (Blake), Courtney (Lawrence), Chad, Tammy (Richy), Stephanie (Axel), Matthew (Jen) and Luke (Lisa); and his great grandchildren, Leita, Amaya, Lana, Elsie-May, Kaleb, Tristin, Amellia, Spencer, Luther, Jude, Marley and Freya. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
