Clarence Poortinga Obituary

He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerben Poortinga and Trijntje Poortinga; his stepmother Siebergjen Poortinga; his parents-in-law, Klaas and Louwkjen Van Lingen; his sister Bertha Van Soest (John); and his siblings-in-law, Henny, Kiny Van Lingen, Rena Van Lingen and John Van Lingen.
He is survived by: his spouse Pat Poortigna; his sons, Clarence Poortinga Jr. (Paula) and George Henry Poortinga; his siblings, Jim Poortinga (Henny), Henry Poortinga (Hilly) and Janke Wielenga (Nancy); and his siblings-in-law, Mel Van Lingen, Edith Lokhorst (Gerrit), Anna Bergsma (Adam), Henry Van Lingen and Ted Van Lingen (Janet).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 13th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Blyth Christian Reformed Church (354 Queen St, Blyth, ON N0M1H0). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 13th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
