She was predeceased by: her parents, Nicolaas Terpstra and Johanna Terpstra; her parents-in-law, Martin and Martha Van Bakel; her granddaughter Kathleen Van Bakel; her siblings, Margaret (Bill Van Nes), Emma (Henk Boersen), Charlie Terpstra, Ben Terpstra, Mary Terpstra and Helen Terpstra (Patricia Armstrong); and her in-laws, Catherine, Cor DeCorte, Wilhelmina, Willy Poppe, Mary Margaret Van Bakel and Garry Van Loon.
She is survived by: her children, David Van Bakel (Brenda Richey-Van Bakel), Paul (Wanda Van Bakel), Mark Van Bakel (Kristin Schnurr), Kevin (Lisa Van Bakel) and Joanna (Ethan Wallace); her grandchildren, James, Amy, Julia, Emilio, Matthew, Ashleigh, Braden, Claire, Emilee, Charlotte, Lily, Elisabeth, Corbyn, Sarah, Bob, Henry, Liam, Cole, Olivia and Bree; her great grandchildren, Audrey and Alayna; her siblings, Nick (Catherine Terpstra), Herman (Rosemary Terpstra), Joe (Miriam Terpstra) and Joanne De Brabandere (Mike Terpstra); her sisters-in-law, Hennie Terpstra and Catherine Terpstra; and her in-laws, Herman, Grada Van Bakel, Hank, Alice Van Bakel, John Van Bakel, Betty, Josephine Van Loon, Cinth, Tony, Nellie Van Bakel, Casey and Helen Van Bakel. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
