He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Priestap and Florentena Priestap; his adoptive parents, Eldon Mueller and Ruby Mueller; his children, Wayne Priestap and Maxine Stahlke; his grandsons, Nickolaus Priestap, Andrew McTaggart and Clarke; his siblings, Merle Brickman (Cecil), Wendolyn Priestap and Kenneth Priestap; his godson Peter Priestap; and his brother-in-law John Carmichael (Doris).
He is survived by: his siblings, Marlean Steckly (Val), Gary Mueller (Linda) and Carmen Priestap. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Lockhart Funeral Home (109 Montreal St, Mitchell, ON N0K1N0). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
