He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Young and Lera Young; and his siblings, Beverly Young (Joyce), Mildred Barkley, Betty Hall (Ray), Gail Findlay, Pat Young and Richard Young.
He is survived by: his son Chad Hanes of Ottawa; his granddaughter Trinity Hanes (Zach) of Morrisburg; his siblings, Marj Emard (late Donald) of Cornwall and Dale Young of Cornwall; and his brothers-in-law, Ronald Barkley of Alberta and Gary Findlay of Prescott. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
