He was predeceased by: his parents, Kazimierz "Kazik" Sliwinski and Miroslawa "Mira" Sliwinski; his sister Idalia "Ida" Pokusa (Joseph "Joe"); and his nephew Joe Pokusa Jr.. He is survived by: his child Tess Sliwinski "Kid" (Pete Streng); his close friend Wendy Johnston; his nibling Jean Brown; and his cousin Tina Svitlovytska.
