He was predeceased by: his parents, Karl Micheelsen and Erna Micheelsen; and his brothers, Henri, Gert and Benny.

He is survived by: his wife Elaine Micheelsen; his daughter Leanne Micheelsen (Jamie Plank); his grandchildren, Quentin and Caitlyn; his sibling Randi Waade; his nieces, Karen, Lisa, Mariann and Linda; and his nephew Jann.
