He was predeceased by: his grandson Rhys George; his siblings, Walter George (Anita), Laverne Johnston (Jack), Geraldine Goessell (Keith) and Mary Louise George; and his parents, Percy George and Lavina George.

He is survived by: his children, Peter George (Cynthia), Carolyn Hiusser (Greg), Samantha Hoffele (Mark), Donna George and Luke-Robert George (Sarah); his significant other Sharon Valade; and his significant other's children, Blaine Davidson (Carrie) and Cindy Snowden (Russ). He is also survived by his 19 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
