He was predeceased by: his grandson Matthew Strachan; his parents, Raymond Clayfield and Elaine Clayfield; and his siblings, Susan Hawley, Ronald Clayfield and Brian Clayfield.
He is survived by: his daughters, Amy Strachan (Ian) of Elora and Rebecca MacLeod (Bryan) of Ottawa; and his grandson Andrew Strachan.
