She was predeceased by : her husband Jim McLuhan; her daughter Deb McLuhan; her parents, Irene Rolston and Clarence Rolston; and her sister Doris Marchant.

She is survived by : her pet Samantha; her brother Arnold; her sister-in-law Shirley Rolston; and her nieces and nephews, Mitch Marchant (Theresa), Randy Marchant (Alison), Kathy Wiltshire (Lorne) and Kim Lanka (Roland).

“Dear family, I don’t know what to say, it would be much easier. My deepest sympathy to all of. You lost a family member and I lost a very dear friend. I met Joan in 1975 the first time and we never lost contact over the years! We phoned and talked from past times at Rudy’s, each time I visited Canada we met and lunch. I miss you Joan!
