He was predeceased by: his parents, Joao Melo and Maria Melo. He is survived by: his wife Maria Conceicao Melo (Rodrigues); his children, Michael Melo, Lori Melo (Jesmond Cassar) and Philip Melo; and his siblings, Antonio Melo (Ana), Eduarda Franco (Mario), Conceicao Ferreira (Jose), Maria Jose Batista (Manuel) and Maria Isabel Melo.
