She was predeceased by: her spouse Emery Gruninger; her parents, Fred Zeiner and Ruby Zeiner; her brother Billy Zeiner; and her sister-in-law Kay Martin.
She is survived by: her sons, Greg Gruninger (late Fiona) and Kevin Gruninger (Debbie Peters); her grandchildren, Jason (Bianca), Matthew (Elyse), Robyn (Jacob), Arianne (Austen), Emilie (Dylan) and Daneka; her siblings, Pat Hakes (late Lloyd), Karen Manser (Herb) and Fritzie Ogilvie (late Wayne); and her siblings-in-law, Allan Gruninger (Nancy), Roy Gruninger (Edith) and Jeanette Buchan (Terry).
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to commemorate Elaine's life may donate in her memory to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
