He was predeceased by: his wife Evelyn Luya. He is survived by: his children, Pauline Smith (Brian), Christine Loker (Daniel), Geoffrey Luya (Marg), Malcolm Luya (Loretta), Gordon Luya (Patty), Yvonne Etherington (Chris) and Janette Luya (Bill); and his sister Dawn Greer.
