Shelley Kontio Obituary

The memory of Shelley Kontio of Murillo, Ontario, who passed away on February 27, 2025 at the age of 61, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her son Andrew Kontio; her parents-in-law, Arvi Kontio and Paula Kontio; and her grandparents, Joseph, Mary Berube, Warren and Gratica McMillen.

She is survived by: her significant other Henry Kontio; her son Shane Kontio; her parents, Marilyn McMillen and Stan McMillen; her sisters, Vivian Morin (Glenn) and Colleen Maki (Harold); her sister-in-law Kaisa Swerhun (Allen); and her nieces and nephews, Aimée Morin, Sarah Morin (Eli), Leah Jackson Ted (David), Heather Maki, Mekaal Swerhun and Chris Swerhun. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

The family has chosen to send donations to Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre Cancer Care.
