He was predeceased by : his parents, Charles Hermer and Evangeline Hermer; and his sisters, Elva Shanks and Mary Hermer. He is survived by : his wife Marilyn Hermer; his children, Charlyn Cormier (Mike Cadieux) and Jason Hermer (Catherine); his grandchildren, Dylan Cormier (Amanda), Tamara Ellis and Abigail Hermer; his great grandchild Mya Anglin; his siblings, Roger (Karen), Muriel (Jim), Leo (Janice), Kenny (Orlanda), Norman (Donna) and Sharon (Bim); and also, Karen McMullen and Steven Cormier.

Memorial donations made to Stone Mills Fire Departments (cheques payable to Stone Mills Township) would be appreciated by the family.
