He was predeceased by : his sweet Royette; his siblings, Eldon, Isobel, Elva and Iva; his parents, Jeremiah Simpson and Maggie Simpson; and also Laurie Simpson.

He is survived by : his wife Ruth Hudgins; his daughters, Janice, LuAnn and Susan; his daughter-in-law Sharon Simpson; his grandchildren, James, David (Laura), Rachael, Maggie, Graham (Kathy-Ann) and Daniel; and his great grandchildren, Zadie and Noemie.
