He was predeceased by : his parents, Melvin and Beatrice. He is survived by : his wife Roxanne Brownlee; his daughter Lisa Holt (Peter); his stepchildren, Duane McGarvey (Erin), Cynthia McGarvey and Jagger Brownlee; his grandchildren, Pearson, Ryley, Liam, Charlotte, Wes, Aaron, Gillian and Meredith; and his siblings, Judy Tyner (Terry), Joanne Morrow (Lenny) and James Crowder (Sharen).

Donations in memory of John to the SPCA Lennox and Addington Care Centre would be appreciated in lieu of flowers. Donations and condolences may be forwarded online through wartmanfuneralhomes.com.
