As we bid Kathryn farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Kathryn is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilfred Short and Ruby (Beaudrie); and her brother Greg Short. She is survived by: her husband Larry Douglas; her daughters, Angela Douglas (Adam) and Tammy Thomson (Greg); her grandchildren, Owen, Autumn and Leah; and her siblings, Jack Short and Marilyn Wellman (late Larry).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Heart of Hastings Hospice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
