He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Whitfield and Jean Whitfield. He is survived by: his wife Jeanette Whitfield (Gallagher); his children, Susan Mommertz (Stefan) and Steven Whitfield (Laura); his grandchildren, Kristen Mommertz (Riley Hoffman), Aras Mommertz, Brandon Whitfield (Katie) and Jaida Whitfield (Marla); his great grandchildren, Addison and Blake; and his siblings, Allan Whitfield (Mary), Elizabeth Petrangela (Raymo) and Linda Martin (Brian).
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 29th 2026 at 1:00 PM, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Friday, January 30th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the Hannah Funeral Home - Napanee (123 Dundas St W, Napanee, ON K7R1Z9).
