We bid farewell to Ruth File (Napanee, Ontario), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 23, 2025 at the age of 98. Ruth touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Stanley File; her parents, Herbert Shillington and Grace Dawson; her siblings, Bette Rae (late Danny), Glen Shillington (late Jean Moulton) and Reta Parlane; and her foster sister Joyce Consack (late John).
She is survived by: her children, Margaret (P. J. Marshall), Anne, David (Jane) and Peter; her granddaughters, Miranda Rivadeneria (Hans), Michelle DiLegge (Eric Condron), Nancy Simpson and Susan File (Eric Stephen); her great grandchildren, Isabella, Oscar, Jillian, Benjamin, Emily, Charlotte and Ellorie; and her foster brother Robert Wright (late Lorna).
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Wartman Funeral Home "napanee Chapel" (448 Camden Rd, Napanee, ON K7R1G1). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A reception will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Riverside Cemetery (326 Church St, Napanee, ON K7R1C7).
