She was predeceased by: her husband Harwood Simpson; her son Paul Simpson; her parents, Bert Kimmett and Vera Kimmett; and her siblings, Jean Irwin and William Kimmett (Bill).

She is survived by: her daughter Brenda; her son-in-law Brian Luffman; her grandchildren, Nathan Luffman of Toronto, Dana Hitchins (Steven) of Westport and Kara Petit (Stefan) of Napanee; and her great grandchildren, Quinn Hitchins, Noelle and Oaklen Petit. She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews, extended family.
