He was predeceased by: his parents, Sidney George Smith and Muriel May Smith; his son Andrew James; and his sister Brenda Ellen Humby. He is survived by: his wife Janet Thomson Smith; his sons, Ian Philip Smith (Julia) of Rockwood and Malcolm Douglas Smith of Nepean; his nephew Nicholas Humby (Karen); his nieces, Alison Hunt (James), Rosemary Goodman, Juliet Eadon (Desmond) and Elizabeth Coombes (Peter); Dr. Sylvia June McLauchlan.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, May 28th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Church of the Holy Saviour (Anglican) (33 Allen St E, Waterloo, ON N2J1J1).
