He was predeceased by : his father-in-law Allen Lightfoot. He is survived by : his wife Sherri Lightfoot Wilson; his son Matthew (Caitlin Wilson); his parents, John Wilson (Sam) and Hanna Wilson; his sister Angela (Larry Gagnon); his mother-in-law Marilyn Lightfoot; his sisters-in-law, Judy Restoule (Claude) and Renee Lightfoot; his nephews, Shawn (Laura Kennedy), Jeffrey Kennedy, Robert Gagnon, Peter Gagnon, Scott Restoule and Corey Restoule; and his great-nephews, Lincoln and Wilder Kennedy.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to New Hamburg Minor Hockey Association or the KW Humane Society would be appreciated by the family and can be done through the funeral home website.

“Sincere condolences to Dave's whole family. I had the pleasure of enjoying many laughs and good times with Dave on our September scuba diving weekends at Skeleton Lake. I am sure everyone will have their own memories and will celebrate his life which has been cut too short.”
