Family, friends, and acquaintances remember Jean for her warmth, thoughtfulness, and the moments shared together. While she will be deeply missed, the influence she had on the lives around her remains. Loved ones will reflect on the time spent together. Jean’s memory will live on in the hearts of friends and family, a lasting reminder of the connections and experiences she brought to the world.
She was predeceased by: her husband Willard Laverne Shantz (Willie); and her brother Ralph Ruby. She is survived by: her children, Lorrie (Ross), Colleen, Scott (Cindy) and Steve (Marcia). She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and oodles of much-loved nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Wilmot Mennonite Church (2995 Bleams Rd, New Hamburg, ON N3A3J3). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
