She was predeceased by: her husband Norman "Earle" Bean; her parents, Abraham S. Martin and Ellen Martin (Bauman); her sister Martha; her brother-in-law Lawrence Martin; her brother Elmer; and her siblings-in-law, Joyce Martin, Esther Martin, Doris Martin and Carl Dettweiler.

She is survived by: her children, Brenda Ziemann (Horst) and Gary Horst (Nancy); her grandchildren, Rowan, Holland, Carina Ziemann, Kristine and Ashley Horst; and her siblings, Laverne Martin (Elizabeth), Edmund Martin, Howard Martin, Ellen Dettweiler, Maurice Martin (Phyllis) and James Martin (Ruth). She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews.

As expressions of sympathy, and in lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to MCC New Hamburg, or if you wish the family asks that you donated any knitted items to the Wilmot Family Resource Centre in Lorene's honor as she took great pride in doing that.
