With sadness, we share the passing of Marcella Gerber (New Hamburg, Ontario). Marcella passed away on October 2, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her spouse Orland Gerber; her parents, Gideon Boshart and Pearl Boshart (Kipfer); her daughter-in-law Debra; her grandchildren, Jason and Jennifer; and her brother Delford.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Fewkes of Baden, Bruce (Judy Clements) of Baden, Sandra Kirk of Wellesley and Paul (Wendy Cavacas) of Baden; her grandchildren, Joel (Heather), Stacey (Lawrence), Melissa (Matt), Alysha (Dominic), Alexandria (Jordan), Emma (Nina), Jill (Dwayne), Gerald and Bill (Tifffany); and her great grandchildren, Ewan, Isla, Ava, Isaac, Quinn, Willow, Sophie, Charlie, Reese, James, Elizabeth, Charlotte, Everly, Eli and Iris.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home (291 Huron St, New Hamburg, ON N3A1K2). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Steinmann Mennonite Church (1316 Snyder's Rd W, Baden, ON N3A3K8). A reception will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the First Mennonite Church Cemetery (800 King St E, Kitchener, ON N2G2M6).
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Sunnyside Foundation or to the M.C.C. would be appreciated by the family.
