It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ray Steinmann (New Hamburg, Ontario), born in Wellesley, Ontario, who passed away on October 21, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Bena Steinmann (Lebold) and Elmer Steinmann; his siblings, Rita Cressman, Wayne Steinmann and Bruce Steinmann; and his siblings-in-law, Marilyn Steinmann, Gerry Hoffman and Leonard Cressman.

He is survived by : his children, Val Steinmann (Brent Klassen), Rosie Steinmann (Chris Janzen), Don Dyck Steinmann (Tanya Dyck Steinmann) and Rebecca Steinmann (Jeremy Bergen); his grandchildren, Kieran (Naomi Frazer), Nathan, Joel Klassen, Yara (Jesse Reusser), Kai Janzen, Katarina, Ruby, Johanna Dyck Steinmann, Seth and Eli Bergen; his siblings, Marjorie Bender (Ralph), Harold (Rita), Earl (Eileen) and Ervin (Irla); his siblings-in-law, Audrey Hoffman, Elaine Cressman, Norma Steinmann, Ruth Steinmann and Harold Bender (Audrey); and his wife Anna (Bender). He is also survived by children, grandchildren, and the extended family.

The family encourages all to wear a mask when coming to visitation and to the memorial service.

In lieu of flowers, donations would be accepted to Mennonite Central Committee or House of Friendship and can be done through the funeral home.
