He was predeceased by: his parents, Bruce Johnston and Gertrude Johnston; and his wife Shirley. He is survived by: his children, Tony Johnston (late Francine), Rosemary Moore, Paul Johnston (Irene), Bobby Johnston (Hilda), Marianne Rice (Billy), Glen Johnston (Denise) and Chris Johnston; his grandchildren, Kimberly, Lisa, Michael, Jason of Kristina, B. J., Liam, Carol, Shelly and William; his great grandchildren, Keenan, Sadie, Rogan, Hailey, Jasmine, Oliver, Liam, Molly, Nicholas, Phoebe and Lucas; and his sisters, Muriel Stewart (Joe) and Doreen Taillon (Richard).
Visitation was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Buffam Leveille Funeral Home (251 Shepherdson Rd, New Liskeard, ON P0J1P0). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions can be made to the Beverly Ann Boros Palliative care room - Temiskaming Hospital.
