Though Charles has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Thomas and Kathleen Thomas. He is survived by: his wife Arlene; his daughter Christine; his son-in-law Jeff; his grandson Aedan; and his sister Susan. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 27th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Newcastle Funeral Home (386 Mill St S, Newcastle, ON L1B1C6). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 27th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, October 27th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Bond Head Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Ontario Federation of Anglers & Hunters in Doug's memory.
