She is survived by: her husband Patrick; her children, Jake and Riley; her siblings, Petra, Patrick and Martin; and her parents, Sabine Buckert and Bernd Buckert.

“Claudia brought me hope when I didn't think I would ever feel hope again after my cancer diagnosis. She was truly a ray of light. I am so sad that she is no longer apart of this world. Her generosity was limitless. Please know she will always be in my heart and a reminder to fight this disease with hope. I wish I could come to her visitation and mass but I will be in treatment and I know that is where she would want me to be. My deepest condolences. Meredith Skinner”
