He was predeceased by : his significant other Lucille Harper; his parents, Sarah Harper and Lewis Harper; his brothers, Austin, Wilfred and Basil; his siblings-in-law, Mary, Jock, John and Patrick Sr.; and his son-in-law Paul Ford.

He is survived by : his children, Eric (Joy) of Oshawa and Kim of Kitchener; his siblings, Ethlyn and Winston of Trinidad; and his sisters-in-law, Rose of England, Veronica of Russell, Lucy of Bradford and Lucia of Montreal. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
