Daniel Lewis Orville Smart Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Daniel Lewis Orville Smart, who passed away on April 15, 2020 at the age of 62. He passed away at the Margaret Bahen Hospice in Newmarket with his wife by his side, after a brave journey through cancer.

Forever remembered by his wife of 36 years Bonita (nee Cripps); daughters Cynthia (Gord) Smart, Tanya (Scott) Willert, Danielle (Steve) Smart, son Dylan (Melissa) Smart; and his five grandsons Logan, Lucas, Zachary, Whittaker, and Jacob; and the little one on the way.

He will always be remembered by his mother Doris (Grainger) Smart; sisters Deborah, Darlene, Diane, Melinda; and his brothers Harvey and Andrew. Predeceased by his father Thomas and brother Ed. You will be missed and forever loved.

Dan was a lifelong fan of the Toronto Blue Jays, always watching or listening to a game no matter where he was. His favourite place to be was sitting in front of a bon fire listening to oldies on the radio.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held once the world is back to normal.

Donations can be made to the Margaret Bahen Hospice or the Stronach Regional Cancer Centre at Southlake.
